July 2011

So I spent the month of July back in the states and spent a lot of time with my family. I had a great time in Dunedin with Alex experiencing some much needed aunt/niece girl time! We had pedicures, ate good food and just hung out and had fun! I was in town for Johns birthday where we had a great time celebrating! I was also able to squeeze in a little friend time too! Then off to Rochester where I loved watching Ben play baseball and Jarret at his sailing lessons. I also enjoyed a great deal of quality time with mom shopping, relaxing and playing words with friends online. Ryan's mom and sister came to Rochester and we had a great time. More shopping and a night watching a woman's soccer match where there were 11 ladies fresh off the world cup game. it was amazing and a great experience! Was also able to get in some time with Lisa and Chris at the pool club. Although Ben and Chris were gone for a week at a baseball tournament where Ben's team took 1st place! Spent a lot of time with Lisa visiting with dad at the hospital, dialysis and at the rehab center where he is now. Hopefully Friday the 19th when he goes to the ortho doctor they will take the cast off and he can go home. Spent some time with some friends who reached out to me as well when i was in town. it was good to get away from all the stress of dads situation and catch up with some great friends. Thanks so much to Amy Moore, Kelli Marsh and Cara Kelley for making me a priority in their busy lives. It was great to see you all. I was also home once again for a Johnson Baby being born. I was able to meet Baby Katie Mae. She is a hairy little monkey who puked on me twice in a 10 minute period. I guess that was her way of thanking me for coming to welcome her!

We also got a chance to spend some time with our Allen family from Michigan and Syracuse. It was way to short of a visit but good enough to hold me over till next time! All the kids are growning so quickly!

Back to Dunedin for a few days before I headed back to Ryan, Carson, Callie and Georgia. Alex and I hung out more. Gosh I miss her so much. I hope she now orders veggies with her meals instead of fries...

I got back home to a clean house and a husband who was full of love and laughter and my doggies who kissed me till they knocked me over! All in all it was a great month with family and friends.

Here are some pictures of my trip and the dogs when i got home!

Welcome Callie Ruth Stoffer - AKA - New Puppy!

So we decided to rescue a beautiful new puppy from Naples Italy.  We drove down to Verona, spent the night and then drove another 4 hours to Orte to meet our new friend Debbie to pick up our new girl.  In total we drove around 20 hours round trip to pick up Callie.  Once we got her home she met her big brother Carson.  It was sibling love at 1st sight!  They love to play tug-o-war.  Carson loves to have a toy in his mouth and have Callie chase him, this they could do for hours...We are really enjoying the new addition to the family!  Georgia on the other had is not liking it at all.  She has been hiding out in the cellar these days... She comes out at night time when we are all asleep to have her fun.  Thanks for stopping by and hope to have some more news from Stuttgart for you soon!

Carson enjoying the outdoors!

Well its been so nice here in Germany.  We can't tell if Carson is a Snow or Sun lover.  He may actually love both.  He loves to be in the sun and we have been going on long walks at least 2 times a day.  He also loves to be in the yard just chillin!  We are enjoying him and his personality!  Here are some of our favorite pictures of him enjoying the great outdoors!  The last one is him out cold after a long country walk.  He is laying on the base of our empty laundry sorter.

Back to Blogging

So its been a while since I posted a blog and lots has happened since then.  We have started to travel and have been to many places.  Dresden, Paris, Nuremberg, Brugges, Barcelona, Rome, Athens, Izmir, Istanbul and Malta.  We enjoyed all the destinations and had a great time exploring them all.
Carson is still enjoying dog daycare 3 days a week and is enjoying the warmer temperatures.  Georgia is enjoying the sun too and is trying to get out of the house each time the door opens.  Ryan has been working crazy long days and weekends and I'm proud to know my husband is working hard to help our country!
I'm enjoying working with the children at the CDC on base except for all the illnesses they pass along to me.  I'm hoping to get stateside sometime this summer and encourage all friends and family to come visit us.  Germany is beautiful any time of year!
